Kitchen Decor

I finally decorated the top of our cabinets in the Kitchen. It wasn't very pretty before. My husband who is 6'4" was using the top of the cabinets for appliance storage. Now that it is decorated he and the rest of the family can't use it for junk anymore.  My daughter and I found most of the stuff at Dollar Tree, Wal-Mart, Goodwill and a Second hand thrift store. I spent under $100. I love the way it turned out.

Back to School Tags

Pictured are 10 Back to School tags that I created for a swap in Swappers Corner . ( July Tag ) I'm mailing them out today and then I wait for my surprise to come in the mail. These swaps are addictive because I love getting surprise mail in the mail box.

Breakfast Avacado Toast

I used sour dough bread. For some reason it tastes really good toasted. Cut out centers from bread. Peel & cut avacados in half Place toast and avacados in lightly greased pan. Add whipped egg to bread, pour in to center.... sometimes it leaks out a little - that is okay. After the one side is toasted and egg cooked, add a little cheese and the buttered centers back on top. Flip the toast to brown the other side. Once both sides are toasted, they are done. Enjoy! See my other recipes - here -

4th of July 2017

We had a wonderful 4th of July with friends and family. We prepped most of our food the day before since we invited over 20 people this year. Ed smoked two pork butts and Pork ribs, then we made  our famous creamy potato salad . We boiled 15 lbs. of potatoes! When the party had ended, we had enough left for dinner the next day. All the food was great! Can't forget the deviled eggs on the side, we never have leftovers when we serve those. The Boston baked beans were also a hit (recipe at the bottom of this page). All gone! Daisy and Piper wore matching bandanas for the 4th of July. Aren't my beagle girls adorable?  For desert we had banana muffins . I found those little flags at the Dollar Tree and thought they made a nice addition to my 4th of July decor. My Polish Pottery napkin holder matched the napkins I bought at the store. 4th of July is also my grandfathers birthday. Happy Birthday Opa! The card is made using Stampin' U...

What kind of beagle do you have?
