Grießbrei ist lecker
One of my favorite deserts is Grießbrei.
Pairs well with apple sauce and cinnamon on top.
Ingredients needed:
4 cups milk
1/2 cup of malt O meal
2 tsp. Butter
2-3 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 egg white
Directions:
Bring milk to boil;
add the malt O meal
and sugar. Continue to cook until thick (continuously stirring), add butter and vanilla extract. When thick take off the heat and beat in one beaten egg white.
Return to heat and return to boil.
Serve hot or cold with any topping you like.
Perfect for when you’re feeling ill.
