Beatrice Batchelder (Cady)

Missing my grandma today.    I miss hearing her voice and listening to her talk. She would tell me how proud she was of me and say „I love you Steff“. I can still hear her voice. Even though we lived continents or states away from each other, she always felt close. Love you and miss you grandma! Thank you for being there for me! Quote of the day

You can’t control what people do. If they want to be offensive, rude, hard to get along with, that’s their choice. But you can control how you respond. The most powerful thing you can do is let it slide right off. Don’t give it the time of day. Don’t think about it anymore; don’t relive it; don’t tell your friends what they said. Keep your heart pure. Save your emotional energy to live this day to the fullest, to pursue your dreams, to love your family, to be good to your neighbors. Sometimes it’s better not to say anything and to just listen.

Quilt Picture

DESIGNING QUILTS WITH PICTURE ENLARGEMENTS  You don’t need to be an artist to make a wall hanging any size you want. Just enlarge you favorite small picture. It’s pretty easy! Supplies Needed: Good white paper (not newspaper) smooth, as you will need to erase on it Long clear ruler Ball point pen Fine point Sharpie Ultra-fine point Sharpie Mechanical pencil with erasers Large soft eraser Storage bag to put your picture into Clear tape Instructions: You can draw directly onto your picture or save it by placing it in a baggie. Tape it to the inside of the bag. Line ruler up on left side of picture. Draw lines every 1⁄4” up and down. Then do the same going across. If the picture is larger, you might want to use 1⁄2” or 3⁄4” lines. Number blocks from 1 to whatever, across top and bottom. Do the same on the other two sides, matching numbers top to bottom on each side. See diagram. Draw the same amount of lines, using a ball point pen, on your large paper (sample included). Paper can be ...
