July15th Quilt Block

Challenge I recently discovered a website that posts free daily quilt block challenges " here ". The lady's name is Katherine Kerr and she even gives a little history behind each block pattern. It's a really resourceful link to visit and I think you should really check it out. The daily quilt challenge also has a Facebook group titled " 365ChallengeQuiltBlocks ".  More links: 365 Challenge Quilt Block Fabric tags Quilt Blocks by Joy's Jots, Shots & Whatnots

Family in Georgia

Summer 2019    Visiting family in Georgia was delightful. I learned a lot and new memories were made. My brother in-law Buddy is a very insightful person and various conversations were held daily on their nicely screened in back porch. My favorite part of the day was in the evenings talking and sharing stories - creating moments to cherish. My sister in-law Patrice made sure that we had plenty to eat and drink, she is such a genuinely sweet person. (I gained 5lbs. at her house because the food was so good, lol)  She took good care of me after I fell and missed a step on the stairs (making sure I kept my foot elevated and iced) - sort of put a damper on sight seeing plans, but we were still able to enjoy the company of each other.

Summer Adventure in Georgia

Visited family in Georgia this summer and of course I had to see their local quilt shop "Jeffs Sewing and Vacuum Shop" . It was fantastic! The staff and customers were super friendly, allowed me to observe them working and even let me take a few pictures. I really like the sewing machines that they were using. Maybe.... one day I might purchase myself one of these beauties.
