Fiber Co-op in San Angelo

Visited a not so little quilt shop on the outskirts of SanAngelo recently. I was a very nicely organized shop with neat displays. I purchased some pretty turquoise bird patterned fabric here. The owner wasn’t there the day I went but her husband was kind enough to let my daughter and I tour the array of fabrics.    They also offer  classes here   so Michelle and I will be signing up for some this summer.  Here  is the link to their website.  Hexegon shaped flowers- on my to do list to learn.    So much fabric to choose from.  Upcoming classes.  Hand dyed thread by the owner.  I bought I pack of these, just couldn’t resist.

Don’t throw it away

For my family and friends that live nearby, please save your plastic bottle caps, and postage stamps.    If you didn’t know this about me I am also a part time philatelist- maybe one of the last. I do not know anyone else personally who also shares this hobby. It’s tucked neatly away in the closet with about 30 years of stamps from around the world.   Bottle caps because I can turn those into ring pin cushions. They make adorable little pin cushions.  Thank you,  Stefanie  Links: Paper roll tubes Mascara wands for wildlife

New Discovery

I discovered something new this week. I learned about the Quilt Trek- it kind of sounds like a treasure hunt for quilters. I thought how fun this would be if friends and family could help me complete one of these. The website gives a listing on retailers who are participating throughout the whole United States.    I was thinking it would be super cool if you could visit your closest store that is participating, take a picture of yourself in front of the store and get the kit & token for me. It doesn’t start back up until June 2021.     Links: Composition Notebook Cover Free Block of the Day PS: I recently noticed that some of my links were out of date or no longer working. Positivity is a life-long exercise, and it's an active effort. You really have to make the active decision to think happier thoughts, and toss out the bad. Don't expect things to change over night, but keep working at it. With time, you can learn to stop thinking about all the "dark thoughts," and find happiness and peace in your life. One way to exercise positivity is using a gratitude jar.
