Ingredients:
Penne Pasta
Spinach
Italian sausage
Mushrooms
Heavy cream
Chicken stock
Garlic
Grated Mexican cheese blend
Olive oil
Salt & Pepper for flavor
Basil
Start with browning the Italian sausage in a pan with olive oil and garlic. (Or grill it and add in afterwards).
Cook Penne pasta until it’s al dente, add chicken broth and heavy cream to pan. Allow to simmer for 8-10 minutes.
Once the pasta is cooked add spinach and cheese. Stir together or cook spinach on side - if hubby has a strong dislike towards spinach. Season with salt and pepper.
Garnish with basil if you like :)
