Face Mask Information

Mask Information!

If you are someone who works in the medical industry, elderly or have an underlying health issue and can’t stay home. The professional masks are what should be used first, but if you don’t have them I can help. The back of the masks have a pocket to interchange filters.

I do not carry filters, but was told that a paper towel, Coffee filter or Olyfun. It's polypropylene, breathable, Water repellent and washes/ dries well. $2 for a 3 yard roll or about $20 for 10 yards at Wal-Mart in fabric dept.

I am not sure how accurate this information is and do not intend to misinform people. My opinion is “something is better than nothing”.

Some masks also have pipe cleaner at the top, to fasten around the nose. I was only able to make those on my embroidery machine. The ones on my regular machine – do not have the pipe cleaner. I was afraid of breaking another sewing needle. Supplies are limited so some masks are made with elastic and the rest with ribbon, string and or folded fabric.

I originally intended to just make these for friends and family, but many more have reached out for help. I gave a lot of time and materials away and had to re-order supplies. My original intention was not to charge for these masks, but the supplies are getting costly. So any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Supplies I could use:

Embroidery thread
Scotch painters tape
Tear away embroidery stabilizer
Pipe cleaners
100% cotton fabric
Fabric fuse tape
80/12 Machine sewing needles
¼ “ elastic, ribbon or bias tape
23 mm / 7/8 inch buttons
Fabric marker

Payment can be made through FB messenger, Poshmark, or ETSY (optional). The mask will be left at my front door (porch) or shipped so that we have zero interaction

Thank you and stay healthy!
