This is the gravid spot, which is a definitive trait of a female guppy. • Body Shape & Coloration: She has a rounder, thicker silvery-grey body, and her primary coloration is concentrated mainly on her tail and dorsal fin, which is classic for female guppies. I purchased her as a blue nebula- but her tail has some orange/ red coloring.  2. Strain / Type: Nebula / Mosaic or Leopard While female guppies are much less vibrant than males, her specific markings give away her genetic strain: • Half-Black Influence: The back half of her body (just before the tail) scales into a distinctly darker, charcoal-grey shade compared to her light-colored front half.
