Colors of the Rainbow
If you want to play colors of the rainbow with a variety of art mediums such as scraps in 2024.
It‘s a new year for a new fun project. Calling this one #Colorsoftherainbowchallenge
Each month I will create things using the color of the month. This event is for the whole month. Please post and share pictures throughout the month. I plan on making a slide at the end of each month with all the creations posted.
Here are the planned colors for the year:
January - Brown
February - Pink
March - Green
April - Light Green
May - Gray
June - Purple
July - Turquoise
August - Yellow
September - Blue
October - Orange
November - Light Blue
December - Red
Post your pictures in my Facebook group “here” or leave a link in the comments section below.
For Quilters or Fabric piercers: The plan is to pull out some scraps in the designated color of the month and make one or more blocks each month. The members who participate in 2024 are asked to make one or more tops using at least 12 blocks (one from each month) and show them in April 2025. The tops can be quilted but don't have to be.
These are your blocks; no quilt police are involved in this project. The only "rule" is that the color of the month should be predominant in each block. Add any other colors, any size, do your thing. Have fun and use some scraps!
