Black & White Cookies

I saw these cookies at our local HEB and they made my heart happy. I haven’t seen black and white cookies since I was a kid. A find memory growing up around Klingenberg, Böckingen (Germany) was going to the bakery for sweets. These black and white cookies were one of my favorite treats. I remember them being a little bigger- probably because I was a kid and the were called Amerikaner. 

I found a recipe online, haven’t tried it yet. But, I am looking forward to it.
