Weather Vane

Today I created a block that was given as the Block of the month (BOM). You can tell that I am still a novice quilter and have more learning to do. I have the hardest time getting my lines to align. Unfortunately my points are not perfect. It is also called „Indian Trail, Storm At Sea“. The pattern is found in several books such as „One Hundred and One Patchwork Patterns, (pg.7) by Ruby Short McKim. The book was published in 1931. It is also found in „The Romance of the Patchwork Quilt in America“, (pg.92/ No.4), „The Standard Book of Quilt Making and Collecting“, (pg.234) and in „The Collector‘s Dictionary of QUILT NAMES and PATTERNS“, by Yvonne M.Khin.
