Lentils with homemade German noodles

One of my favorite comfort foods for cooler weather. While everyone is going crazy for Chili- I on the other hand make my Linsen und Spätzle.

First make the lentil soup in the crockpot.

Then the homemade noodles. "Spatzle Recipe"

June 1939: 86 years ago today, Swabian tüftler and locksmith Robert Kull from Stuttgart applied for the patent for his "dough press made of a pot with dough holes and a hand stamp". 1 The "#Spätzleschwob" was born - a new kitchen assistant made of aluminum with 89 openings - ideal for the Swabian national court. And a favorite wedding gift.

With the help of the Spätzlepress, almost 30 years later, on the 6th. April 1969, #SpaghettiIceCream was invented. 2

This will be my first time ever making a fidget blanket- I was so happy to have the opportunity today to gift my Oma a fidget blanket. I love her with all my heart, it just makes me so sad that not much can be done for her while struggling through dementia. She told me it was beautiful and she appeared to like it.
