Duranta (Cuban Gold)
Visiting my local grocery retailer HEB, I decided to stop at the gardening center and came upon a nice green plant. I was looking for a low laying plant that might look good in my hanging planter - my previous plant did not survive my two weeks away from home and now needed something to replace it. Something lively! Duranta (Cuban Gold) is a foliage which can handle full sun and is grown in Texas. It should be able to handle the Texas heat for sure, right?
The plant is known to be low maintenance, drought-tolerant, a tropical shrub with bright golden foliage and lavender-blue flowers. It's supposedly extremely heat and humidity tolerant.
